How we vet our freelancers

We vet our members so you don't have to.

A freelancer with the check mark has had their work looked through by hand by someone on the CRDB team. There is no button that grants it. Members send us their work and we take a look.

Vetted freelancers also rank higher in search, and you can filter the database down to only them.

2 · The CRDB score

We reward our most engaged members.

We build a score on each profile from the following:

  • Real work

    Projects with images and video, not empty pages. A profile with nothing to look at scores nothing here.

  • Described work

    What the job was, the role they had on it and the industry it was for.

  • Collaborators

    The people who worked on each project with them, named on the project.

  • References

    Written by people they have worked with.

  • Client quotes

    Written by the client, not by the freelancer.

  • Vetted by CRDB

    The check mark above.

  • The basics

    A filled-in profile, how often it is looked at and whether they have a Plus membership.

3 · Meet the freelancers

Trust is built on human connection.

Coming soon: a short video from each freelancer. Who they are, what clients say it is like to work with them, and what they do when they are not working. We are starting with a first group of ten freelancers.
